From having a wide selection of equipment to partnering with high-caliber fitness professionals, Martin Downs Sports Resort has everything you need to achieve a healthy lifestyle. In our 24-hour Fitness Center you’ll find machines by Cybex plus a variety of cardio equipment, free weights, medicine balls, stretch mats and four flat screen TVs to keep you entertained while you burn those calories.

Because of our wide selection of facilities and equipment, our personal trainers can easily customize workouts to fit your specific needs. You are invited to schedule a complimentary equipment orientation with one of our fitness professionals.

 

Fitness Center

Our 24-hour facility provides the opportunity for individual and group training in aerobics and rehabilitation. Our Fitness center is fully equipped with Cybex circuit training machines, free weights ranging from 5 to 80lbs., & medicine balls. The Cardio Deck offers treadmills, electric and manual bikes and an elliptical machine.

So come in and get a great workout!

*Members 16 yrs. and older receive unlimited access to the fitness center.

Classes

The Martin Downs Sports Resort is proud to offer members onsite access to Rosalind’s Fitness Studios Personal Trainers. Rosalind Neilen has over 15 years experience as a personal trainer. She has owned and operated Rosalind's Downtown Fitness located in Downtown Stuart since April, 1994 and opened her second studio- Rosalind's Uptown Fitness located in the Harbor Bay Plaza in January, 2008.

Rosalind’s Fitness Studios & MDSR promises to get you on the right track and help you succeed, no matter what the fitness goal. We offer a variety of fitness classes as well as individualized training sessions. New members receive a free orientation.

GROUP SESSIONS

Group sessions are $15.00 per Member, $18.00 per Non- Member

Fitness Fusion

Rosalind’s FITNESS studio is taking a flexible approach to traditional exercise by mixing and matching various exercise techniques such as yoga, cardio, flexibility and strength in a single session. Offered on Monday 10:30-11:30, Wednesday/Friday 8:45-9:45 a.m.

Seniorcize Fitness

Seniorcize FITNESS is specially designed for older adults. Research shows that for many aging individuals participating in whole person wellness programs slows the aging process and promotes independence.

Make this fun-filled exercise and educational session a part of your wellness regime. Call 232.3228 to register for a class.

Yoga

Interactive Yoga is the experience of integrating the ancient insights of Yoga with the latest advances in mind, body and health. The focus is on the overall well-being of the student. Interactive Yoga is accessible to all regardless of experience, age, ethnic or religious beliefs. Enjoy expanding your mind, strengthening your body and relaxing your soul.

Zumba

People of all ages fall in love with this non-traditional infections aerobic music with easy to follow Latin inspired dance steps. You’ll reap the heart-pounding benefits of this high-energy routine whether you’re a beginner or advanced.

Personal training by appointment

Work one-on-one with a certified Personal Trainer. Using MicroFit’s technology to analyze your physical and behavioral health, your Trainer will provide a report with specific recommendations for improvement and help you develop a results- based program.

Your first step will be a quick review and assessment of the following:

Health History: this will determine your readiness for a fitness assessment and exercise program

Wellness Profile: analyzed lifestyle behaviors in the areas of exercise, nutrition, stress, safety and tobacco.

Fitness Profile: a physical assessment covering the areas of muscular strength & endurance, body composition, flexibility, blood pressure, blood lipids, & cardiovascular fitness.

Partners-in-training by appointment: Studies show that sharing your fitness experience with another person is one of many ways to get FIT. Partners-in-training will receive all of the above reviews and fitness assessments.

Specialized Wellness Coaching by appointment

Wellness Coaching goes beyond personal training. The coach and client work together to develop a program that fits the individual’s needs, values, and visions -- helping to overcome barriers that prevent you from reaching your wellness goals.

A Wellness Coach will help you decide on your action plan in:
